白色一般情况下有两种，偏黄的白色和偏蓝的白色。对于亮丽及纯度很高的橙色，不能用偏蓝的白色油墨作底色或作冲淡剂，否则颜色会变得灰暗。同样道理，对于亮丽及高纯度的紫色，也不能用偏黄的白色油墨作底色或作冲淡剂。复合袋的四周应设计为相近色或透明，如果包装袋或卷材上下左右颜色反差较大，在经纵向和横向拼版后，拼版处将有明显反差。
